ABOUT
I'm Ali, a mixed media artist based on the East Coast of Scotland.
I enjoy visiting new places, whether it be here in the UK or travelling overseas to more exotic locations. I am captivated by the hustle and bustle of people going about their business and how they interact with particular environments. In contrast, I also find it invigorating to put on my hiking boots, to venture up the hills and be surrounded by nature. I am fascinated with uncovering the specific elements that give these special places and spaces their identity.
By encapsulating the key components of particular environments and rendering them in my own artistic style, I aim to create artworks that reveal the essence of these inspiring places. I create my pieces using a variety of media including watercolour, acrylic painting, collage and printmaking.
I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2010 and exhibit my work regularly. You can purchase my artwork via my online shop with free postage offered within the UK.
