Being Creative During Lockdown
It's winter, it's cold outside and we are back in lockdown here in Scotland, dreaming of spring days when we can go visiting the countryside again! . . .
During January I was looking through some of my recent artworks and deciding which ones I would like to develope further. Lockdown does have it's benefits, every cloud has a silver lining and all that! . . . I really enjoyed working on the little watercolour minis and had great fun with a series I was working on which was based on a place called Glenesk and the beautiful landscape there. When I visited back at the end of summer the hills were carpeted in beautiful purple heather and every thing was lush and green.
I have been looking through my photographs, working in my sketchbook and developing some ideas which I am really excited about. I am enjoying learning about the lifestyle of the folks who inhabited this land before the highland clearances and I am sure there will be reference to this in my coming works.
